Fall is definitely here. Leaves are turning and the footballs are flying. In the
baseball world the Cleveland Indians are still in it and maybe this will be their year.
Shari and I got away for a week vacation and went to Vermont and New Hampshire and
spent a few days in the White Mountains. We took a cog-railroad to the top of Mt.
Washington and hiked the Flume Gorge in Franconia Notch. It was gorgeous. A great
thank you to Sandy and Bud Runyon for watching our cats for us while we were away.
And thanks to Tim McCarthy for leading and preaching at the worship service on the
last Sunday of September.
Many exciting things this month. We will celebrate 70 years as a congregation on
Sunday, October 28th with a luncheon after the service. We will have a display of some
items and pictures from our history as a congregation. Plan to come and invite others to
celebrate with us. Nancy Bootes will want a head count so that she can plan adequately
for the lunch.

Sunday afternoon, October 14th at 4:00 p.m. will be our annual Columbus Baptist
Association Multi-Cultural Service. This year it will be held at the East Livingston
Baptist Church. The speaker will be Rev. Quentin Respress from the Kingdom Power
Baptist Church. As you may recall, the service was held at North Baptist last year and I
was the speaker. Let's have a good representation at this event! We can carpool from
the church at 3:00 p.m. Dinner afterwards. Let's support CBA!
