Happy New Year! I sincerely hope that your Christmas celebration and New Year festivities were all that you hoped they would be. Our two sons were home for Christmas and we had several enjoyable days together. We took a drive to see some Christmas lights, had dinner in downtown Columbus, and went to see the new Star Wars movie as a family. We also kept to our tradition of playing new table games, and this year it was “Cranium”. Plenty of laughs with some of the questions.

The council will be meeting this month and putting some activities on the calendar, including for this month. We hope to begin our film night and popcorn, so watch the bulletin for details.
Bible Study begins again on Wednesday, January 6th at 11:00 a.m. Since Year C in the Common Lectionary is the year for the gospel of Luke, we will be doing a study of Luke to begin the year. Come and share with those who are already coming each week and study with us!
It is winter and we will undoubtedly have some cold weather, although it has taken some time to arrive this year. Just a reminder to turn thermostats down when leaving the church building after events. Let’s have a great year together!
